NOVEMBER 17 IS NATIONAL BIG STEPS DAY!
It's a day for families, the sector and the wider community to celebrate and support the fantastic work of early childhood educators. Free family fun days are being held in every capital city. Find your local event and register your attendance below.


FIND YOUR LOCAL STATE EVENT: 


ACT
When: 11.00am until 2.00pm
Where: Meet at the merry-go-round in Civic and walk together to Glebe Park
What's happening: A family fun event with face painting, a sausage sizzle and lots of activities for the whole family. Wear your Big Steps t-shirt or something red!

NEW SOUTH WALES
When: 10.30am until 1.30pm
Where: Hyde Park North, near the Archibald Fountain
What's happening: A pram parade, children's entertainment, music and fun activities. Wear your Big Steps t-shirt or something red, and bring a picnic!

NORTHERN TERRITORY
When: 11.00am until 1.00pm
Where: Lake Leanyer Recreational Water Park
What's happening: A family fun event with face painting, a sausage sizzle and lots of activities for the whole family. Wear your Big Steps t-shirt or something red!

QUEENSLAND

  • 9am: assemble at Kurilpa Park, Brisbane
  • 9.30am: Big Steps Walk
  • 10am: Big Steps Concert in Radacliff Place (top of Queen Street Mall) with the WotWots and Bananas in Pyjamas

Wear something red.


SOUTH AUSTRALIA
When: 10.00am until 12.30pm
Where: Meet at Victoria Square and walk together to Elder Park
What's happening: Wear your Big Steps t-shirt or something red! Bring a picnic and enjoy the children's entertainment in the park.

TASMANIA
When: 11.30am for a 12.00pm start
Where: Parliament House Lawns, Salamanca, Hobart
What's happening: Big Steps family fun on the lawn immediately following the Hobart Christmas Pageant. Children's activities from 11.00am. Wear your Big Steps t-shirt or something red!
