Over the next few months, all United Voice members will be provided multiple opportunities to give voice to their issues, their concerns and their hopes.
At the end of November, all members will receive a survey asking them to identify issues important to them. Click here to take the survey and share your ideas now.
From December to February, the aim is to have open conversations with some 30,000 members to better understand members concerns and aspirations.
In the first part of 2013, a national member-leader group will distill the findings. They’ll meet with experts in various policy fields to think through key issues. And they’ll re-engage with members to talk further about ideas and solutions.
FOR REAL CHANGE
By the middle of next year, after months of discussions and debate, a Charter for Real Change will be finalised for members to consider and adopt.
This will be a powerful statement giving voice to our members’ dreams for a better future and guide the work of the union for the decade ahead.
Through Real Voices for Change, thousands of United Voice members – who make our economy hum and who make Australia a better place to live – will have their say. Those kitchen table conversations will be brought into the centre of Australia’s public debate and member’s’ Real Voices will be a key part of shaping our country’s future. Click here to have your say, or fill out the survey in your union magazine and return it in the reply-paid envelope.
