Permanent Part Time Merchandisers:

Be aware: If you agree to vary your contract after 22 June 2015, your hours may be changed by Tip Top within these ranges without your agreement:  

Range 1

8-16hrs

Range 2

16-28hrs

Range 3

24-36hrs

 

For example, if you agree now to reduce your hours to 22 hrs per week, Tip Top may later decrease your hours without your agreement to 16 hrs per week.

If you want to keep your guaranteed minimum hours – do not agree to vary your contract in writing.  Contact United Voice to discuss further.

Casual Merchandisers:

If you have had the same set hours for a significant period of time, you may in fact be a permanent part time employee under the EA. This entitles you to job security, paid annual leave, paid annual leave loading, paid personal / carer’s leave and overtime rates.
